Making time for my dream

I’ve gotten so bogged down with trying money online that I put aside my drive to create music and perform.
Now that I have decided to reclaim that drive, I now must make my music a priority. I have to fall in love with it again.
Practice is key and so is tuning into my stifled creativity. I have a genre focus, which is gospel; I am a church musician, after all. My original content will likely be tested in church. I have an audience.
Yesterday I got out my notebook and started writing lyrics. It’s a start. I rarely do it, but now it can be a new habit to make and part of my routine, like journaling.

Music is my new focus

In my attempt to find meaningful employment, I have inadvertently discovered weaknesses and flaws Of which I was unaware. I used to feel powerless to correct them and was tempted to give up trying. I was discouraged and had begun to lose hope of obtaining any form of gainful employment.
It wasn’t until I decided that I would focus on my strengths instead of my weaknesses that I saw a glimmer of hope for my future. Instead of trying to get just any job, I have decided to focus on my music career.
I have much more time and experience invested in my music; why not make a career out of it. Of course it will have to-be on my own terms that I will have to decide on like a business plan.

This is your life

Enjoy life as it is, don’t hate the life you have. You have one life; don’t waste it mourning your failures.  They are your education and enrichment if you will only learn from them. Use them as stepping stones to get where you want to be.
Don’t bask too long in the light of your success. Keep moving and keep striving to your goal.  Have at least a goal, a target. Don’t give up and don’t stop until you hit it.
Encourage others in reaching their goals. Can you help them?Share your treasures and time with people you meet on your journey to fulfillment.
You will gain more than you give.

New year goals

Blog post
March 2019

2019 actually started well for me. I set some goals, especially financial ones like saving money in the local credit union and avoiding overdrafts. I’d read some literature about financial management and was eager to put what I learned in practice.
It has been a challenging time because my resources have not been as plentiful. Control over expenses has been hard to maintain as I struggle to do more with less. More and more I strive to meet obligations and plan for contingencies, only to fall somewhat short.
So I am grateful for whatever income streams are available to me. One such stream is Swagbucks. This get paid to website has a proven track record for me. I’ve redeemed many of the points I’ve earned by completing surveys, answering poll questions daily, and making cash back purchases.
My favorite redemption is Amazon gift cards. There are quite a few gift cards  available. You can even earn Paypal funds or load a gift Visa card.
Swagbucks now has a mobile app that makes earning points convenient, though there are some activities better completed with your computer.  If you enable notifications on your smartphone, you will receive Swag codes to redeem for points for a limited time. There are also contests and social activity that present more earnings opportunity.
Swagbucks is fun and easy to use, so if you are looking for a way to stretch your budget by doing what you already do online, you should try it. Please sign up with this link:  https://wwww.swagbucks.com/refer/lindac
It’s free and there are no upgrades or hidden expense.

To your success,
Linda Christian

Keeping our finances in order is one of the keys to my continued mental stability, so it is very important I do a better job than I’ve been doing so far.
Last year I did some reading on money management as reference. I even decided to take my mother’s advice. I absorbed as much information as I could.
I am starting to sense a feeling of control over my circumstances now.
I am trying to use my money with more planning to keep away bad luck, so to speak.
Do you ever find yourself at the mercy of your spending habits? Remember money is a tool to help yourself and others. Learn how to use that tool just as you would learn how to use any other tool. Get educated. You can make it work if you know how to do it.
Be grateful for what you have and be generous. Money can bless when used for good instead of indulgence.

Choosing an internet business

These days a lot of people want to make money on the side. Not all positive economic change has trickled down; people are still struggling to make ends meet. Unfortunately, there are individuals who seek to take advantage of this group of disadvantaged workers. This is where it pays to learn how to analyze work at home opportunities.
I have learned how to determine if an online offer( or any job opportunity)is a bad deal. This is a necessary skill, but you can learn it from more experienced entrepreneurs without getting into too much trouble yourself. Study reviews instead of testimonials. You can find these articles on other marketers’ blogs and on the social traffic exchange , Sweeva
You can also do a search on an internet business. Complaints or praise will surface and give you an idea of what that business is about.
The issue of cost and investment is important. Sometimes you need to spend some money; just make sure you are paying for a service or product that will help you meet your business goals and not just an entry fee that is more like buying a lottery ticket.
Clicktrackprofit, for example, is one site that offers opportunities to invest in the right kind of marketing resources/money makers. There are many advantages to joining the suggested programs advertised on this downline builder. The upgrades are subscriptions that are reasonably priced and if you sell these subscriptions to referrals, you make a commission.

People need people

Relationships with other people, especially family, are important to our lives and should not be
Avoided or neglected. We need each other in a ways our electronics cannot substitute. We have to have friends and families to speak to face to face or we will suffer for it. This is coming from someone who sometimes has social anxiety and yet I do feel better when I am interacting with people in the real, flesh and bone world. Isolation is a killer!
That said, people like online friendships for their non commitment features. You un-friend someone and you don’t see their posts. You block someone, and they are gone from your feed and that’s it. In real life, you have to deal with the conflict and solve the issue behind it. If you don’t, things can escalate. More isolation, more loneliness, and more stress that is unnecessary and very bad for your health.
So while you are marketing your business online and building lists, consider your offline life. Is it lacking in anyway? Do you have any offline customers? Do you do business offline at all? Online marketing is great to start something profitable, but I think the added dimension of unplugged interactions is invaluable. So have a balanced approach to marketing beyond an internet obsession. You will be glad you did.

By grace

What my husband and I lack materially we make up for in faith. We believe in God’s providence and loving kindness. We depend on Him for our daily bread especially since we have found ourselves in a position of dire need. We have the means to live because of God’s grace and mercy.
It’s not because we deserve it, but because of God’s love for us. We can’t pick ourselves up by our bootstraps; it is God who raises us up. We were far from home like the prodigal so God came came near to us.
. He came to rescue us from our own sin. We inherited sin from Adam but made our sinful choices because we were sinners by nature. We were helplessly enslaved to sin and couldn’t change without being born again.
It says in the Bible that God gives us the power to make wealth, a way to make a living. There are many ways He does this. I have found a blessing in my online income streams. One of my biggest money makers is Swagbucks . I can earn $5 Amazon gift cards for filling out surveys, mostly. I can earn Swagbucks for shopping; I can earn so many Swagbucks per dollar spent.
Then there are swagcodes that give you free swagbucks. If you download the app on your smartphone, you can get swagcode alerts to redeem. Every day you can earn one swagbuck for participating in the daily poll. When you collect enough of this currency, you can redeem it for gift cards. I like Amazon gift cards because you can buy anything on Amazon. You can redeem for Paypal cash as well.
It’s free and fun. Join and start earning today!
